How to Use ACT-CSV Converter > Convert between ACT! Contacts and CSV

If you choose to convert Contacts information between ACT! and CSV page, you may see the following two screens:



Specify the Contacts fields

In this screen, you may choose which fields should be convert.
  • You may see all the available ACT! Contacts fields are listed in the left list box.

  • You may select the fields in the left list box and click the ">>" button to choose the fields you need in the conversion. The chosen fields are list in the right list box.

  • If you want to remove the selection of some fields, you may select them in the right list box and click the "<<" button to move them back to available fields.

  • You may click the "Insert" button to insert custom fields during the conversion. The custom fields could be fixed string, sequence number or a mapped information from other fields. The "Delete" button is used to delete the inserted custom fields.

  • You may click the "Move Up" or "Move Down" buttons to change sequence of the fields in the conversion.

  • And you may click the "Properties" button to view or modify the details of the selected fields.

  • The "Select All" and "Clear All" buttons are used to select or deselect multiple fields conveniently.



Choose the Contacts data

The next screen is used to choose the Contacts records which you need in the conversion. This step is easy, just click the checkboxes before each record you want and move to the next step.

According to the conversion mode, the records are read from ACT! database or the Contacts CSV file.

And you may double click the records or click the "Details" button to see the detail information of the Contact records.
