How to Set DesktopMirror for Lotus Notes and ACT! Options

DesktopMirror provides many advanced options to customize the DesktopMirror software itself and the synchronization.

In any sheet of DesktopMirror, you may click the "Options" button to open the product option dialog box. You may also select the menu item "Tools -> Options" to open this dialog box shown below:

Set DesktopMirror for Lotus Notes and ACT! options

In this dialog box, you may:
  • Choose whether show DesktopMirror Wizard at software startup or not

  • Set the record display color:
    By default, the Contacts/Calendar information are marked with different colors in the table. You may customize the colors shown by the record status, such as identical records, new records or modified records.

  • Set the action when meeting information conflicts:
    Sometimes the similar information existed in both Lotus Notes and ACT! and you may need to determine the actions for these conflict information. Four action options are available: Lotus Notes overwrites ACT!, ACT! overwrites Lotus Notes, Remind and Do Nothing.

  • Set Lotus Notes Account login information:
    You may enter the Lotus Notes account login information and Notes database information here and let DesktopMirror save them, then you don't have to enter these information when you run DesktopMirror next time.

  • Set ACT! access information:
    To access your ACT! data, DesktopMirror needs to have the ACT! Pad File Information, the user name and the password to login ACT!.
