How to synchronize Notes/Memo information between Palm Desktop and Outlook
With DesktopMirror for Outlook and Palm Desktop, you may synchronize Notes/Memo information between Palm Desktop
and Outlook with only a few simple clicks.
After the DesktopMirror is started, you may click the tab to switch to "Notes" sheet, and you will see that all Notes/Memo information from
Palm Desktop and Outlook are loaded and displayed as shown below:
As you can see that Palm Desktop Memos are loaded in the left table and Outlook Notes are loaded in the right side.
The Notes/Memo records may be marked with different colors:
- Black records: The Notes are existed in both Palm Desktop and Outlook and they are identical.
- Blue records: The Notes are existed in both Palm Desktop and Outlook. But they have different fields values. In the synchronization
you may be asked which one should overwrite the other one.
- Green records: The Notes are only existed in Palm Desktop or Outlook. They will be transfered after the synchronization.
The color of records can be customized in the DesktopMirror Options.
It is very simple to perform the Notes synchronization. Please simply choose the synchronization mode, which you have three options:
- Palm Desktop to Outlook: Transfer the selected Notes/Memo records from Palm Desktop to Outlook.
- Outlook to Palm Desktop: Transfer the selected Notes/Memo records from Outlook to Palm Desktop.
- Synchronize All: Synchronize all Notes/Memo records, no matter they are selected or not.
After you choose the synchronization mode, you may simply click the "Start" button to start the synchronization.
